Pasiparuppu Paniyaram

I like to share the recipe of pasiparuppu paniyaram. There are many varieties of paniyaram, but this is my all time fave.Since the main ingredient is moong dal,its healthy too.The method is so simple but adding the sugar syrup needs little attention. Here's the recipe...

Ingredients

1.Moong dhal-1 lb
2.Jaggery-1 lb
3.Elachi powder-1 tsb
4.Salt

Method

Soak moong dhal for 6 hrs. Then grind coarsely by adding little water. Now in a kadai add jaggery and water to prepare the syrup. This syrup needs thick consistency. Now add the syrup to the grinded moong dal .This forms a thick batter similar to idly batter. To this add elachi powder and salt.In the paniyaram pan pour the batter in the curve .Bke till it becomes brown colour.Delicious paniyaram is ready :)

I wish all my blog friends a very Happy new year!!!
